I haven’t posted very much lately. Simply because, as seems fitting for a person that blogs about work, life and the pursuit of balance, other things (both work and life related) have had to take priority.
But I couldn’t let this date pass without a post. As it’s exactly two years since I first launched my blog, and one year since the first episode of my podcast went live.
From lockdowns, to workplaces reopening, to settling in to the new norm now known as “hybrid working”, working and home lives have altered drastically since I took the giant leap out of my comfort zone and uploaded my first ‘A Fine Balance’ post.
The pursuit of balance, however, remains ever relevant and challenging.
Each story I have the privilege of hearing and sharing has been – and continues to be – complex, raw and personal. And showcasing them continues to serve as a celebration of the diverse ways that individuals flex work around life, and life around work.
I have a growing number of stories in the pipeline to share on the blog and podcast. Hopefully demands on my time will ease over the summer to allow me to turn my attention to them as much as I’d like.
Huge congratulations to you on this amazing feat. I remember clearly when you first discussed starting this blog and you have made it a huge success. You have not only impacted the lives of your interviewees, but also their nearest and dearest and of course all your readers and listeners. Keep up the great work! x
