There’s a lot of discussion about hot flushes and brain fog when it comes to menopause.
What’s talked about far less is the impact that its onset can have on a woman’s motivations, ambitions, and overall outlook on life.
In the latest Work-Life Balance Confessions podcast episode, I sit down with Jacqueline Rose, a women’s health educator and coach – and married mother of five – who shines a light on this often-overlooked synergy between menopause and work-life balance.

Throughout our conversation, Jacqueline and I discuss the physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual impact that perimenopause and menopause can have on women’s sense of work-life balance, as well as her own experience of menopause. We also discuss Jacqueline’s choice around designing her career around her family’s needs, and making a drastic career transition in her 40s.
